Beginner Yoga is a great way to start your yoga journey. Students will be guided through the fundamental elements of a classic yoga class and explore some basic poses (asana), breathing exercises, alignment and entry level meditation. With the right attitude and knowledge of yoga in mind, students can then safely continue on to try other classes or practice at home.
Gentle Yoga is for those who wish to go at a slower pace and/or explore poses with adaptations allowing for differences in flexibility. This class is also suited for those recovering from certain injuries, special conditions, or those who simply appreciate a gentle approach.
Hatha Yoga is the most widely practices form of yoga in the world. Hatha yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength, flexibility and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, hatha yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being. Because this is not a set series, each teacher brings their own creativity to their class.
Kids Yoga is becoming more and more popular – why? because it teaches children how to be the ‘boss’ of their bodies, how to breathe more deeply and fully and how to use their energy more effectively. Yoga for kids explores traditional yoga postures in a fun, safe and playful way. Through the use of games, songs and other props, Yoga for kids teaches both active and quite poses as well as simple breath meditations that help to quiet the mind. Children will feel more relaxed, healthy and happy!
Power Flow & Yin Yoga is a beautiful blend of different styles of yoga. Wake up your nervous system with 45 minutes of vigorous Vinyasa Flow, then cool it down with 15 minutes of Yin Yoga to stretch deep connective tissues and 15 minutes of gentle Restorative Yoga poses to fully relax the body and mind.
Restorative Yoga is an excellent way to counteract the everyday stresses of living in the 21st century. This practice uses props and inner wisdom to create space for healing and renewal while relaxing the body in restful poses. Whether recovering from injury, illness, feeling fatigue or stressed, this is the practice for you.
Therapeutic Yoga for Back Care is designed to teach people how to manage acute or chronic back pain. Through exercises in body awareness, breathing, relaxation and yoga poses, students will develop an understanding of techniques that meet individual needs and can be used on a daily basis to help manage persistent pain.
Vinyasa Yoga is a "flow-style" where we move from one pose to another fluidly, while linking breathing with movements. Typically, classes begin with building heat in the body through vinyasa sequences and then dissolve into deeper relaxing stretches. This style of yoga allows the body to open up and release tensions, while increasing flexibility and promoting strength, balance and increased energy levels. You are always encouraged to go at your own pace, and inspired to new levels when you are ready.
Yin Yang Yoga is a style of hatha yoga with an emphasis on balance, including the balance between quiet flexibility (Yin) with active strengthening (Yang). Promotes well being, strength, flexibility and relaxation.
